Motorcycle Pants & Chaps

Motorcycle pants are the most skipped piece of protective gear and the one riders regret skipping first, because legs take the pavement in almost every slide. Wicked Stock builds motorcycle riding pants for every season and style: mesh for summer, textile for year-round, waterproof for rain, and leather for the classic option. Every pair ships with CE rated armor pre-installed at the knees and hips.

Find Your Pants Family

Mesh motorcycle pants are the hot weather choice, moving air while a 600 denier shell and CE armor protect. Textile riding pants are the year-round workhorses, many with removable thermal and waterproof liners. Waterproof motorcycle pants use sealed seams and breathable liners for sustained rain. Leather motorcycle pants bring 1.2 to 1.3 mm race-grade hide for riders who want the traditional option.

Armor Comes Standard

Every pair of Wicked Stock motorcycle pants ships with CE rated armor at the knees and hips at no extra cost. Each product page lists the exact armor level fitted to that pant, and on many designs the knee armor height is adjustable so the pad covers your knee in the riding position, not halfway down your shin.

Materials That Earn Their Price

Textile and mesh designs build on a base shell of at least 600 denier fabric, with 1080 denier and heavier panels reinforcing the knees, hips, and seat on many models. Leather pants use 1.2 to 1.3 mm full grain cowhide. Stretch panels at the waist, groin, and calves keep the fit ergonomic through a full day of riding.

Over the Boot and Overpants Options

Several styles are cut to wear over regular pants or boots, with full-leg zippers for fast changes. Commuters ride protected and walk into work in their own clothes; motorcycle course students stay in dress code all day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need motorcycle pants?

If you wear a jacket, the same logic covers your legs. Most crashes involve sliding, legs contact the road early, and regular jeans last only a fraction of a second against pavement. Motorcycle riding pants with CE armor at the knees and hips address exactly the injuries emergency rooms see most from riders.

What is the difference between motorcycle pants and motorcycle jeans?

Motorcycle pants are purpose-built riding gear in textile, mesh, or leather, often with weather features and armor pockets designed around riding. Motorcycle jeans look like regular denim with protective reinforcement and armor added, which makes them the choice when you want protection that does not read as gear off the bike.

Can I wear motorcycle pants over regular pants?

Several Wicked Stock designs are built as overpants with full-leg zippers, made to pull on over your work or casual clothing and remove at your destination. Each product page states whether that design is an overpant or a regular riding pant.

Are mesh motorcycle pants protective?

Yes. Mesh motorcycle pants use an abrasion resistant 600 denier polyester shell with mesh paneling for airflow, plus CE rated knee and hip armor. The mesh is a ventilation strategy, not a protection compromise.

How do I get the right size?

Measure your actual waist where the pants sit rather than trusting your jeans tag, and compare against the size chart on each product page. If you plan to wear them over clothing, account for the layer. Exchanges are free with no restocking fees.

Is the knee armor position adjustable?

On many Wicked Stock designs, yes. Height-adjustable knee pockets let you position the pad so it covers your knee when seated on the bike, which is where armor needs to sit to work. The product page for each pant notes whether its armor is adjustable.
